What We Research

Neurorehabilitation

Exercise Science

Motor Learning

Chronic Disease

At the Wadden Lab, we study the impact of movement (i.e., rehabilitation and exercise-based interventions) on novel brain-body measures in clinical populations. Specifically, the three chronic disease populations we study are:

  1. stroke

  2. multiple sclerosis

  3. obesity and infertility

The methodological approaches we use to evaluate the impact of movement, movement dysfunction and to predict human movement behaviours in chronic disease populations include:

  1. neuroimaging: TMS and MRI

  2. motor learning tasks and

  3. cardiorespiratory exercise testing
